Clinical Supervision for Psychologists
Phoebe Beveridge, Registered Psychologist & AHPRA Board-Approved Supervisor
Relational, schema-informed supervision for psychologists working with complex clients
Supervision is where much of a clinician's development happens. It's a place to think carefully about your clients, build skills, and grow in confidence and competence over time.
I offer individual supervision to provisional psychologists, early career psychologists, and more experienced clinicians who want to deepen their relational work. Supervision with me is structured around your learning goals, with a strong focus on understanding the therapeutic relationship and how to use it.
Areas of supervision
Relational and attachment-informed work, including working with ruptures, strong emotions, and therapy that feels stuck
Complex trauma and long-standing relational difficulties
Schema Therapy, including formulation and bringing schema concepts into your work
Eating disorders, including CBT-E and schema-informed approaches, risk, and working alongside GPs and treating teams
CBT and ACT, with a relational lens
Core competencies for provisional psychologists, including assessment, ethics, and professional practice
What clinicians are often seeking in supervision
Working with clients whose difficulties go deeper than the presenting problem
Noticing strong reactions to particular clients and wanting to understand them
Wanting to build confidence with eating disorders
Wanting to develop formulation skills using a schema and attachment lens
Developing confidence navigating ruptures and repairs
Knowing when to hold structure and when to follow the relationship
Wanting supervision that builds skills, rather than focusing only on case review and compliance
Developing their own therapeutic style
Feeling able to keep doing this work in a way that's sustainable
About Phoebe
Registered Psychologist | Board-Approved Supervisor
I'm a relational therapist, and I've built my clinical work around clients whose difficulties are rooted in early relationships. This includes complex trauma, relational patterns, and eating disorders. My primary approach is Schema Therapy, which I use with individual clients and in eating disorder treatment.
Across community services, specialist eating disorder settings, and private practice, I've learned that therapeutic progress often depends on understanding the relationship between therapist and client as well as delivering an appropriate intervention.
In supervision, I'll help you formulate your clients clearly, understand how their patterns show up in the room, and think through what to do next. I'll share frameworks, tools, and reading I use in my own work, and give you direct, honest feedback. I also pay attention to how the work is affecting you, as your reactions to clients are often important clinical information.
I see clients in private practice every week, so supervision is grounded in current clinical work within the same systems you're working in.
